It’s been a really good week. For two weeks I was sat working on the ideas alone but on Monday I met up with Yellow and talked them through. Overall the main theme for this week has been focus and a reminder of what it is that I really want to achieve with all of this.
Sitting down with Yellow discussing the ideas has been brilliant. We’ve explored them, talked through different options of what they could mean, but most exciting of all is that Yellow is up for it. It’s no longer just me and the ideas.
Building a team
Even in these the early stages it was never meant for this to just be me working away on my own and I’m thrilled that Yellow is on board. The team night out with my old Dare colleagues on Wednesday was a great reminder of what I’d like in the future and that – building a team, shaping a company culture, creating a space where ideas can grow and get explored – is part of what I’m most looking forward to with all of this. We’ve started talking about how we’d like to see of all this working and I think it will be great.
The ideas
As I mentioned yesterday there is a clear theme appearing amongst the ideas. We’ve settled on that this is not just going to be one thing that we launch and keep working on. It will a number of things and it will keep on being a number of things.
Dates in the diary
Finally, I debated for a while whether I should go to SXSW or not. This week I got my flights and accommodation sorted as well as a stop in NYC on the way back. And with that there’s now a few dates in the diary for when we need to have something tangible ready by.
