This has been a very interesting week starting with everything feeling a bit unmanageable to ending on a very positive note.
Today we went to see an accountant that had been recommended to us. Other than being really informative it’s been a good exercise going through and verifying the approach we’ve taken as well as having made the whole thing of the next stage feel a bit less “big”.
This week, with me being particularly tired, and the change in how I felt after our catch up yesterday, has reminded me of how important it is to me to have a co-founder and other people to talk to about the whole startup thing.
Tonight was the first time our little team met up since I left for SXSW and combined with a good night’s sleep it’s made all the difference.
The work we did before SXSW was a lot of the initial set up. Now that is done the proper set up begins and that is both exciting and a little scary.
I’ve slightly dreaded starting a new freelance contract. We’ve got so much to work on with byFlock and in a way it’s a little disheartening that I’m not able to just work on our products but instead have to do other work to pay the bills.
Having never been to SXSW before I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. It’s safe to say that it was more full on than I had imagine but incredibly inspiring and full of amazing people that I feel really honoured and lucky to have met and gotten to know.
